You won't find us putting together a bunch of specialty food combinations in an attempt to get you to buy more smoked ham. No sir! We let you choose what
goes best with your Vermont Smoke and Cure boneless ham, sliced bacon and summer sausage. We do enjoy BBQing though, therefore we'd be remiss
if we didn't suggest a few barbecue sauces that work well with Smoke and Cure.
If you like to Barbecue, then might we suggest this combination - Curtis'
Southern Style BBQ Sauce and Smoke and Cure's
boneless ham steaks. As you
can see here, we tried it and though the grilling was quick (because the ham steaks are already cooked) the flavor was wonderful!
To extend the grilling time, simply turn the heat to LOW and enjoy the moment!
Smoke and Cure individually packaged 6" boneless ham steaks
are also a great way to BBQ something quickly for friends and family, as an appetizer,
then throw on your dogs, burgers, ribs and beefsteaks. The ham steaks break apart nicely after grilling (be sure not to over-grill them though).
Slice the ham up (this can be done with a fork) and serve the ham bites with a bowl of
Curtis' BBQ Sauce
for dipping. YUM!
Here's what it looks like on the grill with Curtis' BBQ Sauce.
Another tasty tailgate BBQing treat is a plain grilled ham steak, then drip a little
Richard's HOT SAUCE on the ham bites for a hot and spicy appetizer!
However you intend to prepare your Smoke and Cure boneless ham steaks,
we're certain you'll find them delicious.
If you own a Weber grill and you're looking for some real BBQing fun, cook a Smoke and Cure 1/4 Boneless Ham
on a rotisserie grill! The small Weber rotisserie motor is a wonderful option and can be purchased as an accessory at hardware stores that sell
Webers.
Glaze your smoked ham with either Curtis' BBQ Sauce
or Richard's GAME SAUCE while it's rotating on the rotisserie at 350 degrees.
If barbecue sauce isn't your thing, don't be afraid to simply brush on some Grade B Maple Syrup while it's rotating. Either way,
your ham should be grilled to perfection in about an hour or so. And take it from us, it'll be delicious!
Here's what the smoked ham looks like on the table, shortly after grilln'.
We grilled our ham with Grade B maple syrup.
Towards the end of the grilling we cut the ham slightly to let the heat inside the ham a bit, while brushing in a little maple syrup.
This is actually the very same ham as shown above on the grill. It came out great! Best of all, we had ham sandwiches the next day!
Tip: If you're going to grill a Vermont Smoke and Cure smoked ham, purchase more than one and you'll SAVE on shipping. These boneless hams are fun and easy to cook, and the
resulting meals are extraordinary!
